Dear Friends and Family,

Greetings from the cool and damp high desert! We pray you are doing well and that you are enjoying the autumn. As we approach Thanksgiving, we want to give a sincere and wholehearted thanks to (and for) all of you who so faithfully continue to pray for and give to this ministry! This ministry honestly could not happen without your help. May God richly bless you! This has been a busy month. Besides our normal activities, we held a special appreciation dessert as a way of saying thank you to the local churches that have gone above and beyond to help and support this ministry for over 10 years—the last three years as Oasis, and before that, when we were part of Youth for Christ. The dessert was held at Holbrook First Assembly of God and was busting at the seams with cakes, pies, bars, cookies, and other sweet delights. We had people come from several local churches, and it was a great time getting everyone together. We had a brief program that included three testimonials and a look at what God has accomplished with Oasis, along with the local churches and numerous other ministries over the years. It was emotional looking back.

This past Friday, we took a group on a hayride to the large sand dunes (it was too muddy last month) that are on the extensive property of a local rancher who has been a huge ministry supporter here over the years. We had 27 young people and 8 adults. We rode around 40
minutes to get out to the dunes. While there, we built a bonfire, roasted hot dogs, made s’mores, and the younger ones among us hurled themselves gleefully down the mountains of sand. A couple tried surfing down the mounds, but I’m not sure that worked out too well. As the sun set, one of our volunteer team leaders (and former teen participant), Levi, gave a talk about our new identities in Christ and the fact that Jesus took our sin on the cross, taking our old identities and making us into new creations. It’s always beautiful being at the dunes as the sun
goes down and getting to hear about the Lord in the desert stillness.

We are continuing with our weekly ministries of the Well and the Next Chapter. We will be taking a break the week of Thanksgiving, of course.

THANK YOU for your part in this ministry; we truly could not do it without your prayers and giving!

Prayer Requests:
 Pray for leaders to be committed to serving the youth and their families.
 Praise: Taven made it home safely from his YWAM outreach!
 Pray for Shivanna as she is at Basic Combat Training in South Carolina. She has 3 more
weeks.
